Most of us with our busy work schedules often put off that break time. But personally , no break means productivity takes a downward trend for me . And my idea for break isn't always about a day in the beach or fine dinning. Some times yes , but mostly its tiring and you come home a little bruised.
The green lungs of our peninsula makes for some excellent retreats. If you are the type of person who enjoys serene enviroment , good company and can put up with some hard work getting there than its definetly for you.
Off roading or 4x4 is serious a hobby , but can be highly rewarding. Its not just about the machines , its really about the people and the moment.
There are times that i have reached home 5 am after an off-road trip and then off to work at 7am.
Tired yes , bruised yes ...
down ?... I dun think so ...
Some trips get prolonged , not because its badly planned ,.. Machines break down .. The team doesnt .. So its all for one and leave no man behind kind of attitude.
By now you would have guessed how critical the people are in this hobby. I was blessed with good buddies , just like back in campus...
Somedays we dont even know if we will reach the destination , but as the song goes ... You may win , you may loose , ... But you may never be here again.
Not writing this to enourage people into this hobby .. But encouraging pople to take that break !
Soma is running a full marathon , Suresh is game fishing and Shuba is also fishing but for the type that walks ;-)
... the point is go out there and have fun ..
And if you can drag a friend along in the process , even better.
