Take That Break !

Most of us with our busy work schedules often put off that break time. But personally , no break means productivity takes a downward trend for me . And my idea for break isn't always about a day in the beach or fine dinning. Some times yes , but mostly its tiring and you come home a little bruised.

The green lungs of our peninsula makes for some excellent retreats. If you are the type of person who enjoys serene enviroment , good company and can put up with some hard work getting there than its definetly for you.

Off roading or 4x4 is serious a hobby , but can be highly rewarding. Its not just about the machines , its really about the people and the moment.

There are times that i have reached home 5 am after an off-road trip and then off to work at 7am.
Tired yes , bruised yes ...
down ?... I dun think so ...

Some trips get prolonged , not because its badly planned ,.. Machines break down .. The team doesnt .. So its all for one and leave no man behind kind of attitude.

By now you would have guessed how critical the people are in this hobby. I was blessed with good buddies , just like back in campus...

Somedays we dont even know if we will reach the destination , but as the song goes ... You may win , you may loose , ... But you may never be here again.

Not writing this to enourage people into this hobby .. But encouraging pople to take that break !
Soma is running a full marathon , Suresh is game fishing and Shuba is also fishing but for the type that walks ;-)

... the point is go out there and have fun ..

And if you can drag a friend along in the process , even better.

Thiaga slightly intoxicated ...

Many more experiences to share .. but until then carpe diem !

Fellowships 26th Dec 08

Hi Guys,

Thanks to Soma who hosted the Fellowship in the night with Talib.
It was good to have Talib and the rest of the friends to meet up and have some light moments with a variety of drinks.

Kanes was kind to get all of us meals for the night. Duta Vista was kind of cool place..The room was big enough for all of us and we booked two rooms for a mere Rm170.

The session started and I was on the way back from Klang after attending a family commitment. Everybody had their fun talking about stories back in UTM days. Come to think of it, in 5 years, I guess we had more fun and it was mind boggling when you think of it now. You won't dare to things that you did while in college. It is totally a different experience and I guess this experience has some how enriches our mindset to face and survive the working environment.

At about 2am in the morning, it was time to bid adieu to Vijayan as he is flying off to Montreal in the morning. Cool of him to drop by for this gathering. One thing that all of us missed, was hearing his side of the story. We were eager to hear what Vijayan meant in his email by using the word "tumultuous". I got to open up the dictionary now, and it states as follows: full of uproar. Anyway, we will get him next time.

Some of us went to sleep, but at about 4 am, it was time to wake up Mugilan and we wanted to hear his side of the story. It was really enlightening to share our hearts with fellow friends in the wee hours of the morning.

Moorthi and Mugilan did great job of finishing 2 bottles of liquor, however, Moorthi was already tired and decided to take a quick nap.

Those who stayed alert will treasure the the details and I will omit it the details here. We talked nearly everything under the sky from kids upbringing, deep sea fishing, sex, relationship and etc. We hope to have more of you all to join in the fellowship. It was a great to share with friends without any feeling of remorse. All of those who were in the fellowship listened earnestly to each other's view. It is a totally different feeling knowing that this are friends whom you have known for the last 18 years and still you have trust/believe in them that they will listen and care without prejudging you.

Finally, it was day break and Suresh and myself left without getting sleep. The rest of the guys, had a quick nap before we go for the brunch.

With best regards,
Thiayaka

Gathering-26th December 2008

Hi Friends,

It has been 18 years of our 1st meet in UTM back in year 1990. It was great to have all of you for the first of many memorable gatherings to come. I must thank Talib who partly mooted the idea of having this gathering as way for him to catch up with the rest of the crowds.

The day started on 26th December 2008, with a paintball meet at the Astaka Open Field in PJ. It was great fun blasting each other with the Marker. Some of the early birds are as above in the pics, waiting for the rest of the crowd to join in.

Pari of Maxis, Uthaya's friend did a round of the basics and off we go to the field withe markers. Thana, the Sniper of the day had fun hiding between the cover and took some heavy casualities until the other team marked him.
I guess, the fun actually started when we played "Zombie", that was good, you never die, you are alive when you touch the safety bar and shot until the last pellets. Overall, it was fun for most of us, I guess .

Kanes, one of the casualities of the paintball war, got shot in the head. I guess somebody wants to jog his brains to get him walk the aisle soon.

You can view the pics in Uthaya's Picasawebalbum at : http://tinyurl.com/8gzjcv

Overall , it was great fun and thanks to Uthaya and Pari for getting this organised for us. Turn out was great; we had Kanes, Vijayan, Uthaya, Rajan, Thana, Venky, Shuba, Mugilan, Kumeresh, Soma V, Suresh Kumar, Thiayaka and I hope I did not miss any one.

Thanks and I will continue with Tanni Session and the Lunch at Sri Devi's Bangsar.
Best regards,
thiayaka
